Eclipse Training Here at Norton Aviation, we offer the only complete training program for the Eclipse 500/550 in the world. Both our flight training and our Check Rides for the Eclipse 500/550 are approved by the FAA and the check ride is conducted through our on-staff Designated Pilot Examiners (DPE).

Thorough Eclipse Training

There are prerequisites one must meet before a pilot can begin our initial Type Rating Training Program. As the pilot, you must hold a minimum of a Private Pilot certificate for single-engine airplanes with instrument rating or a foreign license equivalent. If you do not meet the minimum requirements, call us and we can discuss your options. These prerequisites must be met, or you need a proof of exemption before we can begin ground and flight training.

The Type Rating training here at Norton Aviation consists of the core type rating ground and flight training. This training is typically accomplished in 10 days. We designed this program to give experienced pilots the minimum FAA required training which is 7 flights and 16 hours in order to take the FAA Type Rating check ride. Our pilots providing the training understand how difficult this training program can be if pilots are transitioning into their first jet type rating. In fact, we have typed rated more first-time jet pilots than anyone. So, we know what to do to help you transition, ease your frustrations, and save you money.
