Kent Vos

Kent is continuing to pursue his passion of teaching pilots in jets to reach the next level of proficiency and safety.

Kent’s career began in 1992 when he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Aviation Technology as an Airframe and Powerplant Mechanic from College of the Ozarks in Branson, Missouri. He also earned all of his pilot’s licenses through ATP and Instructor ratings while serving as a flight instructor during his college years. He has been teaching pilots for the last 33 years. In 2014, he became an ATP-certified, Designated Pilot Examiner with the highest level of skill and expertise to test the brightest and best aviators in the country. Today, he holds various FAA, FCC, and flight simulator certifications, as well as multiple type ratings and airframe and power plant certifications. He has experience in Flight Instructor, Director of Maintenance, Director of Training/Standards Coordinator, and PIC/FAR 135 Operations.

Kent served as a pilot and Director of Training for Jack Henry & Associates in Monett, MO for 25 years. He also served as Director of Maintenance at JHA in his early years there. Kent instructed and trained pilots in the King Air 90, 200, 300, Beech Jets and Citation Jets. His company later upgraded to the Citation Ultra and Encore. In 2014 Kent became a DPE in the Phenom 300, Phenom 100, CE-500 series aircraft and CE-525 series aircraft.

Kent then moved to Florida in 2017 to enjoy boating and beaches with his family and start a new chapter in his career, pursuing his passion of flight instruction and testing.

Kent served as Director of Training and Director of Safety for Elite Jets of Naples, later serving as Director of Operations and has served in that role up to the present time.

Kent is continuing to pursue his passion of teaching pilots in jets to reach the next level of proficiency and safety. In his free time enjoys his grandchildren, boating, hiking, camping and exploring Florida.
